Course Description:

An introduction to the field of psychology in which students becomes better acquainted with the human being as a bio-social organism. Topics include: scientific method in psychology, interaction of heredity and environment, receptor mechanisms, perception, basic statistical concepts, intelligence, motivation, emotion, learning, normal and abnormal reaction to frustration, psychotherapy, and personality structure. This course satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirement. A grade of 'C' or higher must be attained.
