Course Description:

The study of United States history from 1865 to the present. This study includes the examination of Reconstruction, the growth of 'Big Business', urban development, Populism, Progressivism, and the First and Second World War along with domestic and international developments since 1945. 45 class hours. A grade of 'C' or higher is needed for this course to satisfy the Gordon Rule writing requirement and General Education requirement. A grade of 'C' or higher in this course partially fulfills the Civics Literacy Requirement as outlined in 1007.25, F.S. To fully meet the Civic Literacy Requirement, passing an approved assessment is also required.
