Course Description:

The study of the history of the United States from 1763 to 1865 emphasizing: the colonial period, the Revolution, the Articles of the Confederation, the Constitution, the problems of the new republic, sectionalism, Manifest Destiny, slavery, and the Civil War. This course satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirement. A grade of 'C' or higher must be attained.
