Course Description:

The study of the history of the United States to 1877; emphasizing the colonial period, the Revolution, the Articles of the Confederation, the Constitution, the problems of the new republic, sectionalism, Manifest Destiny, slavery, the Civil War and Reconstruction. This course satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirement. A grade of 'C' or higher must be attained.
