Course Description:

This course prepares the student for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certification knowledge test and practical test. Areas of study are regulated by Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 65, Subpart C. A comprehensive list of itemized subtopics can be found under CFR Part 65 Appendix A. This course has no pre-requisites or co-requisites, and no special eligibility requirements are needed to take the course. However, students should be aware that in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.53: a) To be eligible to take the aircraft dispatcher knowledge test, a person must be at least 21 years of age. b) To be eligible for an aircraft dispatcher certificate, a person must be at least 23 years of age, be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language, and pass the required knowledge test and practical tests for which this course prepares the student. c) Students aged 21 or 22, upon passing the practical application, will receive a letter of competency from the FAA Principal Operations Inspector that shows successful completion, and upon turning age 23 will receive their dispatch license. Students successfully completing this course will be issued a statement of graduation in accordance with Title 14 CFR Part 65.70(b), showing the student has successfully completed an approved aircraft dispatcher course.
