Course Description:

The OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Training course is intended to provide an entry level construction worker's general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. Students will gain a general understanding of safety in a construction setting. Core elements of the training include: Introduction to OSHA, OSHA Focus Four Hazards, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Health Hazards in Construction, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators and Conveyors, Stairways, and Ladders, Lead Exposure, Asbestos Exposure. Students will be given group and individual tasks, as well as class involvement. Instruction will be based off PowerPoint presentations and videos.
