Course Description:

In this course, students will learn what constitutes a threat, the various types of attacks, and the vulnerabilities associated with those threats and attacks. They will utilize technologies and tools to provide hands-on experience concerning firewalls, network intrusion, and systems information and event management. This course offers architecture concepts, implementation of secure system design, and identity and access management concepts and controls. Students will study risk management, addressing policies, procedures, processes, and concepts. Cryptography concepts, characteristics, and implementation will also be covered. At the conclusion of the class, students will be prepared to sit for the CompTIA Security+ exam to earn industry certification.
