Course Description:
This course is directed toward the learning of medical language including word structures, prefixes, and suffixes. The learning of the medical language is organized according to body systems, providing an overview of the anatomy, physiology, and disease processes of those systems to facilitate student understanding of specific terminology. Body systems addressed are the urinary, nervous, digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, and reproductive.
