Course Description:
This course is the third and last in a series of three courses needed to complete the training required for the FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate for multi or single-engine airplanes. The focus of the course training will be commercial maneuvers and complex airplane training. It includes dual instruction in a complex airplane, and ground instruction with a PHSC approved FAA flight instructor. The student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and pass the FAA's Commercial Pilot Knowledge exam for multi or single-engine airplanes to satisfactorily complete the course.This course has special requirements to include the students must meet prior to enrolling; students must hold a minimum of an FAA 3rd class medical certificate (current 2nd class for GI bill students), must be U.S. citizens or have TSA authorization to start flight training, and hold an Instrument pilot certificate. Students must meet with the PHSC Aviation Project Coordinator for approval and verification of documentations, as well as review course requirements and flight training costs. This course provides the flight training and experience toward obtaining a FAA Commercial rating. In order to receive credit for this course the student must complete the appropriate flight lessons and pass the FAA Commercial Pilot knowledge exam. Flight training fees are paid directly to the college in advance.
