Course Description:
Examination of culture as it affects perception and management of health will be explored in this course. Basic health concepts will be explored across diverse population groups so as to build a suitable knowledge base from which to develop health promotion methods. Concepts related to health beliefs are identified within the impact of relevant issues such as health literacy, health disparities, and cultural competence as they affect delivery of care.
