Course Description:

Supervised work training in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Volunteer Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. The class portion of this internship consists of lectures, exercises, a review of selected questions and scenarios, in addition to taking the required certifications. The lectures will present a conceptual overview of the material. The internship provides an experiential learning component for the student to apply the concepts learned in the field of individual federal taxation, develop professional and customer service skills, engage in responsible conduct, and learn how to make decisions and implement those decisions in a work environment.
