Course Description:
This course presents the scientific principles of nutrition throughout the life cycle. The source of the nutrients, their normal and therapeutic roles and daily requirements will be addressed. Related processes such as digestion, transport, absorption, metabolism and storage are included. The relationship between nutrition and human disease is emphasized.
