Course Description:

An overview of rules of evidence and their application to the criminal justice system. Traditional rules of evidence are studied and the degree of proof and admissibility are stressed. The history, development, relevancy, competency, and materiality of real, direct, and circumstantial evidence are discussed. Opinion testimony and hearsay rules are covered.
