Course Description:

Your duties as a law enforcement officer include responding to calls, patrolling, determining violations of law, making arrests, knowing when you should use force, and investigating crimes. All of this means that you must have a basic knowledge of the law and be able to apply the law to specific situations. To act properly and effectively as law enforcement officers without infringing on individual rights, you must have an understanding of federal, state, and local laws. This chapter will provide a solid legal foundation to help you perform your duties.
