Course Description:

The College Experience has been designed for students who have earned less than 12 college credit hours and plan to complete the Associate in Arts degree. Students will learn to develop more effective and efficient study skills and attitudes necessary to be successful in college. Students will have opportunities to engage with the college and with their peers through guest lectures from faculty, staff and administrators, a service learning component, and campus and online activities. Emphasis is placed on self-management, major study aids, active listening and reading skills, note-taking, test-taking strategies and writing skills.
