Course Description:

This course is a continuation of RTE 2824. The student is expected: to continue to refine those skills related to objectives listed in Clinical Practicum's I, II, and III. This course provides the student an opportunity to apply learned knowledge while in the clinical setting. The student will gain experience and develop clinical competency in advanced trauma and OR procedures. Students will experience a two-week observation through the advanced imaging modality of CT. The student will demonstrate appropriate ethical and professional behavior required of a healthcare provider. The student will be expected to demonstrate knowledge in proper patient care practices, communication skills, exposure techniques, equipment operation, radiation protection, image processing, image evaluation, and infection control. The student will be expected to demonstrate how to operate around a sterile field and follow proper OR procedure.
