Course Description:

This course provides an introduction to patient care in the profession of radiography. Topics of instruction include concepts of how to deliver optimal patient care, emergency medicine, infection control procedures using standard precautions, effective communication techniques, patient assessment, general safety guidelines, pharmacology, body mechanics, the role of the radiographer in patient education and consent is identified.
