Course Description:
This course provides RN to BSN students with a foundation in teaching and learning principles. Attention is directed towards an understanding of learning theories, determination of learning behaviors, overcoming barriers to learning, and evaluation of teaching methods. A selection of teaching and learning strategies is reviewed for their impact on improving health outcomes. Emphasis is placed on developing accurate and effective learning objectives that are appropriate for best patient outcomes.
