By the end of the course, students will be able to build simple LANs, perform basic configurations for routers and switches, and implement IP addressing schemes. This is the first of either two or four semester courses designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience in current and emerging networking, and to prepare students for either the Cisco Certified Entry-Level Network Technician (CCENT) and/or the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA Routing and Switching) examination.
